Although the executable files haven't change from X-Setup 5.5 to 5.5.1, the following plug-ins have been corrected:

• XQ Windows Update 1.xpl: added "undo" option
• XQ Shortcut 1.xpl - added support for Internet Shortcuts
• XQ Win9x File System 1.xpl - changed mode for selecting setting
• XQ WinNT QuickBoot.xpl: was not disabled on Non-NT PCs
• XQ WinNT NTLMv2 1.xpl: was not disabled on Non-NT PCs
• XQ WinNT NTLMv2 2.xpl: was not disabled on Non-NT PCs
• XQ OEM Info Model.xpl: no warning that "OEM Name" text is required
• XQ OEM Info Text.xpl: no warning that "OEM Name" text is required
• XQ OEM Info Picture.xpl: no warning that "OEM Name" text is required
• XQ Just in Time Debugger: spelling errrror
• XQ IE Outlook Express 1.xpl: wrong path for "Color Cycle" feature
• XQ FileCache Settings.xpl: dangerous, can crash the computer in some cases - added SYSTEM CRITICAL flag
• XQ OEM Info Model.xpl: file written to \windows not \windows\system on Windows 9x
• XQ OEM Info Text.xpl: file written to \windows not \windows\system on Windows 9x
• XQ MSDOSSYS 5.xpl: mixed up setting for "Always on" and "Only if needed" ("2" instead of "1")
  

Important: The bugs only applied to these plug-ins deployed with X-Setup 5.5, so installing the small plug-in update available from  http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/plugs is enough to update your X-Setup to 5.5.1.

Of course,  the easier way is download and install the entire X-Setup package from http://www.xteq.com/downloads which includes these fixes.

Verifying your version

To verify which version of X-Setup is installed, either look at the first line in README.TXT or the text displayed in the upper-left corner during Setup.
